That's why when Mickey Ferguson needs help with forecasting the weather, he turns to an elite group of junior meteorologists known exclusively as "Mickey's Weather Kids."

Mickey's Weather Kids come from all over Alabama to assist in the prediction of atmospheric occurrences.

Mickey Ferguson has been the lead weather forecaster for Good Day Alabama since 1999.

In his spare time, Mickey likes to sing and enjoys playing the guitar and the blues harmonica. He enjoys working out, summers on the lake or at the beach or anything on the water, and he loves eating sardines!

Mickey belongs to a large family, and has two children - a son, Nick, 25, and a daughter, Sydney, 18.

A Note From Mickey: "Hey parents, tell your kids it’s a lot of fun to help me with the weather and if they get accepted to do it, don’t be nervous. We’ll practice and go over everything we’re going to say! So, have them bring their shout out list and let’s have some fun!"
